Nodetonet runs on prepaid service credit — you load money, you spend it on tunnels and proxies, and idle capacity costs nothing. That model makes the refund question straightforward: credit you have not spent is yours to take back within 30 days; credit you have spent represents work already delivered and cannot be reversed.
This page explains the full policy clearly — what qualifies, what does not, the edge cases in between, and the exact steps to file a request. No buried exceptions, no surprise exclusions.
How Nodetonet billing works (30-second recap)
Before diving into refunds it helps to understand what "spent" means on Nodetonet. When you create a mobile proxy, an HTTP or SOCKS5 tunnel, or a token group, the platform charges your credit balance once per day for active capacity — not per gigabyte. A proxy you pause or delete stops accruing charges immediately. For a line-by-line walkthrough of your invoice, see how billing works.
Because each daily charge is a real operating cost — carrier data, edge-server capacity, payment processing — the line between refundable and non-refundable follows the line between idle balance and consumed service.
What is refundable: unused service credit
Any credit balance that has not yet been consumed by a daily settlement is fully refundable, provided you request within 30 days of the original top-up. The most common cases:
- You topped up and never created a single proxy or tunnel.
- You topped up, ran a quick test, and still have most of the balance left over.
- An auto top-up fired and you caught it quickly before using the funds.
In all of these cases we reverse the Stripe charge for the unused portion back to the original payment card. You leave cleanly, no exit interview required.
Partial refunds are supported. If you topped up $100 and want only $40 back, just say so in your request email. The remaining $60 stays on your account as active credit.
What is not refundable: credit consumed by settled charges
Once a daily settlement debits your account, that credit is gone. We delivered the service — mobile proxy ports were held open, rotating pool capacity was reserved, edge servers handled your traffic — and the charge represents a real cost that has already left the company.
We do not calculate pro-rata refunds for partial days either. A daily charge is the smallest billing unit.
Quick-reference table: refundable vs non-refundable
| Scenario | Refundable? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Balance never spent, within 30 days | Yes | Full or partial amount |
| Balance partially spent, unused remainder within 30 days | Unused portion only | Spent portion is not reversed |
| Balance never spent, 30+ days after top-up | No | Credit does not expire — you can still use it |
| Credit consumed by daily settlements | No | Service was delivered |
| Bonus credit (e.g. 3% loyalty top-up) | No | Bonus is voided if base amount is refunded |
| Fraudulent charge on your card | Via chargeback | File with your card issuer, not with us |
The 30-day window explained
The window exists because every Stripe transaction carries a processing fee that we absorb. Reversing charges months after the fact would mean paying that fee twice on the same dollar. Thirty days is long enough to evaluate whether Nodetonet fits your needs after real testing, and short enough that our payment costs stay predictable.
One important nuance: unused credit does not expire after 30 days. The 30-day window is only for refund eligibility. If you miss the window but still have a balance, it remains valid indefinitely — you can spend it on any tunnel or proxy at any future time.
Edge cases and grey areas
Auto top-up fired unexpectedly
When you enable auto top-up, you pre-authorise future charges at the threshold you set. If a misconfigured proxy drained your balance faster than expected and the auto reload fired before you noticed, the newly loaded — and still unspent — credit qualifies for a refund as normal (within 30 days). Write to us with the transaction ID and we will sort it out.
Bonus credit on a refunded top-up
If a top-up carried a loyalty bonus (say, $100 loaded, $103 credited) and you request a full refund, you receive $100 back and the $3 bonus is voided. Bonus credit exists only to reward real spending; it is not redeemable for cash.
Fraudulent card charges
If a charge on your card statement is genuinely fraudulent — meaning you did not make it — this is a chargeback matter, not a standard refund. Contact your card issuer and open a dispute; we cooperate fully with card-network investigations. Do not email us for a manual refund in this case; the mechanism is the card network, and initiating both a chargeback and a manual refund simultaneously creates accounting conflicts.
How to request a refund: step-by-step
Email support@nodetonet.com with the following three items:
- Transaction ID — found in your panel under /balance in the Transaction history tab. It looks like
tx_8x2q...z9w7. - Stripe receipt ID — shown on the same row, starting with
ch_orpi_. If you still have the Stripe confirmation email, the receipt ID is in there too. - One sentence on why you are requesting the refund. Not required for processing, but genuinely useful feedback for the team.
You do not need to open a support ticket from the panel, and you do not need to use Discord. For this particular request, email is the correct and fastest channel. See how support works for the full channel guide.
What to expect after you send the request
Standard handling time is two business days. Here is what happens in sequence:
- We verify the transaction ID and confirm how much of the balance is unspent.
- We issue the refund in Stripe. You receive a confirmation email from us and a second one from Stripe within minutes of each other.
- The money reaches your original payment card within 3-5 business days of the Stripe issuance, depending on your card issuer.
On the Nodetonet side, your transaction history gains a new row of type refund referencing the original top-up, and your account balance is debited immediately by the refunded amount. If you had running proxies and the refund brings your balance to zero, those proxies will begin accruing against a zero balance starting at the next daily settlement — at which point the panel will pause them automatically.
Keeping billing predictable in the future
The best way to avoid needing a refund is to start small. Nodetonet's prepaid model means you can top up a modest amount, run a first token and Android pairing or a quick test with the proxy checker, confirm the platform fits your workflow, and then load a larger balance. There is no minimum and no monthly commitment, so starting small costs nothing extra. If you are comparing costs against other providers before committing, see how we stack up in our Bright Data comparison and IPRoyal comparison.
Summary
- Unused credit — refundable within 30 days, full or partial amount.
- Spent credit — not refundable; the service was delivered.
- To request — email support@nodetonet.com with your transaction ID and Stripe receipt ID.
- Timeline — two business days to process; 3-5 additional business days for the card reversal to appear.
